Throughout our nation's history, millions of Americans have dedicated their lives to serving in our Armed Forces, and we owe them a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid. They represent the best of our nation, demonstrating great courage and what it means to truly love and serve your country.
On Veterans Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who have answered the call of duty and served our great nation, and we remember those who lost their lives defending our freedom.
As a veteran myself, I personally feel a great depth of gratitude for our troops. I am proud to have served during the Vietnam War, and it is wonderful to see how positively attitudes have changed since then to support our brave service members – past, present and future.
To every veteran, thank you for your sacrifice, your dedication and your commitment to stand in defense of the liberties we often take for granted.
May we honor our servicemen today and every day. God bless our troops!
