State Sen. Scott Alexander (R-Muncie) made the following statement today in response to Gov. Eric Holcomb’s 2023 State of the State address:
STATEHOUSE (Jan. 10, 2023) – "I am looking forward to working with the governor and the House to pass a responsible budget that addresses the needs of Hoosiers and keeps the state moving in the right direction.
"There have been great discussions concerning workforce development and positive changes in education that focus on students to help them get ready for college and their career paths.
"I would support increases to public safety and helping to equip volunteer services. I feel confident we can work together to make progress in many areas the governor addressed in the State of the State. Indiana is moving in the right direction and it is important to improve in areas in which we have fallen behind.
"In the next few months, I am hopeful we are successful in reaching our goal responsibly. I am looking forward to working hard for my district and the state of Indiana."
