This Labor Day, we celebrate the people who keep America moving.
From the factory floor to the family farm, from small businesses to classrooms, construction sites to hospitals, America was built by people willing to work hard, take responsibility, and build something better for themselves and their families.
Like you, I believe there is dignity in work and that a good job should provide a path to a better life. We should reward hard work, encourage entrepreneurship, protect the freedom to build a business and make sure the government doesn’t stand in the way of opportunity.
The American dream isn’t created in a government office. It’s created every day by people who get up, go to work, meet their responsibilities and provide for the people they love.
This Labor Day, let’s honor those workers and recommit ourselves to building an America and Indiana where hard work pays off, families can get ahead and opportunity is available to everyone willing to pursue it.
Happy Labor Day!
