Statement from State Sen. Eric Koch on Gov. Braun's video on Public Question 1

State Sen. Eric Koch (R-Bedford) made the following statement today following the release of Gov. Mike Braun's video on Public Question 1:

STATEHOUSE (Oct. 21, 2026) – "When Hoosiers cast their ballots during the upcoming election, they will be asked to vote on Public Question 1, which would amend Indiana's constitution to allow judges to deny bail to dangerous suspects who they believe pose a threat to the community.

"Today, Gov. Braun shared a video discussing Public Question 1, what it does, and why it is important for Hoosiers to carefully consider this amendment. He also highlights Senate Enrolled Act 2, which sets up important guardrails for judges to follow when deciding whether they should deny a suspect's bail.

"I want to thank Gov. Braun for recognizing and educating Hoosiers on this important question, and I appreciate his support of our work."
