STATEHOUSE (March 12, 2024) – Sen. Randy Maxwell (R-Guilford) welcomed the following local students to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages in February.

  • Avery Clayton, from Indianapolis, attends Madison Consolidated Junior High School
  • Finley Clayton, from Indianapolis, attends Madison Consolidated Junior High School

  • Emma Wynn, from Madison, attends Madison Consolidated Junior High School

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.

"As a new senator, the Senate Page Program has provided me with a great opportunity to meet young Hoosiers from Senate District 43," Maxwell said. "I have appreciated seeing these young students take time out of their day to learn about their state government and the role lawmakers play in the legislative process. I encourage more to take advantage of this opportunity next year. "

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
