Sen. Ford welcomes local students to Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (April 19, 2023) – State Sen. Jon Ford (R-Terre Haute) welcomed the following local students to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages in March and April.

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.

"As a state senator, there's no greater pleasure than showing local students around the Statehouse and teaching them about state government," Ford said. " The Senate Page Program provides students with a well-rounded educational experience as they learn about the legislative process, which is why I encourage all young Hoosiers to participate."

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
