Page for the Indiana State Senate

Friday, December 7, 2018

Applications are now open for the 2019 Senate Page Program. This program allows students in grades six through 12 to spend the day learning what legislators do during a legislative session as well as how state laws are created.

Senate Pages also have the opportunity to:

  • Tour Indiana’s Statehouse, including the House and Senate Chambers, Supreme Court and Governor's Office;
  • Listen to debates on important policy matters directly from the Senate floor;
  • Help staff with age-appropriate tasks; and
  • Meet with their state senator.

The Senate Page Program will begin in January and run through mid-April. Serving as a page is considered an excused absence from school. Positions fill quickly, so it is important to apply early.

Pages are scheduled for Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. They begin their day at 8:30 a.m. and are dismissed at 3:30 p.m. Groups serve together on Wednesdays.
