2020 Page Program

2020 Page Program

Friday, January 3, 2020

Students in grades six through 12 can now apply for 2020 Senate Page Program.

Throughout the day, students are educated on how a bill becomes a law by getting an up-close look at the various committees, stakeholders and constituents that work together to craft legislation that will have a positive impact on Hoosiers.

Senate Pages also have the opportunity to:

• Tour Indiana’s Statehouse, including the House and Senate Chambers, Supreme Court and Governor's Office;

• Listen to debates on important policy matters directly from the Senate floor;

• Help staff with age-appropriate tasks; and

• Meet with their state senator.

The Senate Page Program will begin in January. Serving as a page is considered an excused absence from school. Positions fill quickly, so it is important to apply early.

Pages are scheduled for Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. They begin their day at 8:30 a.m. and are dismissed at 3:30 p.m. Groups serve together on Wednesdays.
