Tomes joined Pastor Allen during the Pulpit Freedom Sunday event to discuss his role in government and his faith, and to celebrate the recent exception to the Johnson Amendment that allows churches to speak about political candidates to their members during religious services.
"I was honored to talk to everyone who joined us at Trinity Church," Tomes said. "I'd like to thank them for inviting me to this event and graciously hosting me."
