STATEHOUSE (April 8, 2026) – "Today, I am urging Gov. Braun to temporarily suspend Indiana's tax on gas to help bring down costs for Hoosiers at the pump.
"This session, my colleagues and I worked hard to bring down costs for Hoosiers, and we achieved many goals along these lines like ending state income taxes on tips and overtime for this year.
"I have heard from many constituents that the recent spike in gas prices has added to the burden they are facing, and I believe a temporary suspension of the gas tax will put more money back in the pockets of Hoosiers."
