Statement from State Sen. Linda Rogers

State Sen. Linda Rogers (R-Granger) made the following statement today in response to Gov. Eric Holcomb’s 2023 State of the State address:

STATEHOUSE (Jan. 11, 2023) – "Gov. Holcomb suggests a number of worthwhile initiatives for state legislators to consider this session, especially those surrounding the improvements to Indiana's workforce and education system.

"As the governor mentioned, Forbes ranked Indiana as 'the best state to start a business in 2023.' This is a commendable rating for Indiana, especially since we have plenty of career opportunities available for young people searching to entering the workforce. I will be working with my colleagues on the Senate Committee on Pensions and Labor to continue seeking ways to support our local workforce.

"I am also interested in discussing some of the governor's proposals to improve our education system, including K-12 tuition support and supplying schools with the resources to educate Hoosier children to the best of our ability.

"I look forward to the discussions spurred by this address and hope to see some of these initiatives take hold in legislation this session."
