State Sen. John Ruckelshaus (R-Indianapolis) issued the following statement today regarding the passage of Senate Bill 326, which would establish redistricting standards:
STATEHOUSE (Feb. 5, 2018) — “Redistricting reform was an issue that came up at all of my town hall meetings, and this bill is an effective first step in Indiana’s redistricting efforts. By setting clear standards and adding more transparency to how our legislative maps are drawn, citizens will know more about the redistricting process. Redistricting is a complex issue, and this bill helps set our state up for the future.”
