STATEHOUSE (Sept. 19, 2022) — "The Richmond community has shown unrelenting compassion for Officer Seara Burton and her family in the last several weeks, and it is with a heavy heart that we will come together to grieve and pay tribute to the selfless service she showed our community.
"May we never take for granted the sacrifice Officer Burton made to protect her fellow Hoosiers and keep our neighborhoods safe, and continue to admire our local emergency personnel's diligence and care for our community.
"My thoughts and prayers are with Officer Burton's loved ones and fellow officers as they remember her in the coming days and beyond."
