State Sen. Eric Bassler (R-Washington) made the following statement regarding the conclusion of the 2025 legislative session:
STATEHOUSE (April 25, 2025) – "With the conclusion of the 2025 legislative session today, I am optimistic that the measures we passed this year will serve Hoosiers well. It was an honor to assist my colleagues in successfully passing a balanced budget that Hoosiers can rely on for the next two years.
"This year's session also gave me the opportunity to strengthen locally owned businesses, improve state infrastructure and create opportunities for our future state leaders. Most notably, I supported a state budget that will serve Hoosiers well and prioritize transparency.
"I am eager for the opportunity during the interim to connect with community members and work alongside constituents and state leaders for a better tomorrow for all Hoosiers."
