State Sen. Travis Holdman to vice chair
fiscal policy study committee

STATEHOUSE (Aug. 22, 2022) — State Sen. Travis Holdman (R-Markle) will serve as vice chair of the Interim Study Committee on Fiscal Policy and also as a member of several other study committees in preparation for the 2023 legislative session.

Holdman's other assignments include the following:

  • Legislative Council;
  • Legislative State of Emergency Advisory Group;
  • Northeast Indiana Strategic Development Commission; and
  • Simplified State Sales Tax Administration Delegates.

“As the sponsor of the legislation that created the Northeast Indiana Strategic Development Commission, I will be focused on implementing growth plans and policies across the 11 counties it will serve," Holdman said. "I look forward to collaborating with local economic development organizations to look at ways to increase pay, population and post-secondary education in northeast Indiana."

Legislators will meet over the summer and fall months to discuss topics approved by the bipartisan Legislative Council, which is comprised of 16 voting members – eight from the Senate and eight from the House of Representatives.
