State Sen. Michael Crider to vice chair roads and transportation study committee

STATEHOUSE (Aug 22, 2022) — State Sen. Michael Crider (R-Greenfield) will serve as vice chair of the Interim Study Committee on Roads and Transportation and as a member of several other study committees in preparation for the 2023 legislative session.

Crider's other assignments include the following:

  • Governor's Security Council;
  • Indiana Homeland Security Foundation;
  • Indiana Behavioral Health Commission;
  • Integrated Public Safety Commission; and
  • Legislative Continuity Committee, co-chair.

"Naming roads and bridges after community members who made significant sacrifices or accomplished great things is a way we can honor exemplary Hoosiers for years to come," Crider said. "The Interim Study Committee on Roads and Transportation reviews these requests, and I look forward to hearing the naming proposals from lawmakers around the state and helping honor these great Hoosiers."

Legislators will meet over the summer and fall months to discuss topics approved by the bipartisan Legislative Council, which is comprised of 16 voting members – eight from the Senate and eight from the House of Representatives.
