STATEHOUSE (July 13, 2023) — State Sen. Brian Buchanan (R-Lebanon) will serve as chair of the Interim Study Committee on Pension Management Oversight and as a member of several other study committees in preparation for the 2024 legislative session.

Buchanan's other assignments include:

"I am honored to serve as chair of the pension management oversight study committee," Buchanan said. "These committees give lawmakers an opportunity to take in-depth looks into important issues impacting Hoosiers, and I look forward to discussing topics surrounding Indiana's pension programs so we can ensure we keep our commitments to the men and women who have faithfully served our state."

Legislators will meet over the summer and fall months to discuss topics approved by the bipartisan Legislative Council, which is comprised of 16 voting members – eight from the Senate and eight from the House of Representatives.
