Senate Republicans offering page program internships

Monday, October 9, 2023

The Indiana Senate Republican Caucus has opened applications for its internship program for the upcoming 2024 legislative session. One internship opportunity includes serving as an intern for the Senate Page Program.

Page interns help provide an educational experience for Hoosier students in grades six-12 to learn about Indiana's government and history.

Responsibilities also include helping with the daily operations of the Indiana Senate Page Program, introducing students to state senators and facilitating students' experience in the Senate Chamber during session.

This internship opportunity is ideal for, but not limited to, students seeking an education or history degree.

Senate internships are open to any college student who is at least a sophomore, recent graduate, graduate student or law school student.

Indiana residents and nonresidents who attend an Indiana college or university can apply.

Interns earn a $900 biweekly stipend and can potentially earn college credit. They also gain valuable experience that can be used on a resume and throughout their career.

The internship program is a full-time work opportunity at the Statehouse that generally starts with a mandatory orientation in late December and concludes at the end of the legislative session in March 2024.

The deadline to apply is on Oct. 31.
