Senate Republicans offer paid internships

Monday, August 21, 2023

Anyone interested in interning for the Indiana Senate Republican Caucus can now apply for the 2024 legislative session.

This internship is a great opportunity for any young professional looking to be engaged in their community and an eyewitness to policy being crafted that will impact all Hoosiers.

Candidates must be at least a college sophomore, recent college graduate, graduate student or law school student, and all majors are welcome to apply. Positions are open to Indiana residents and nonresidents who attend any college or university in the state.

Participants will have opportunities to work alongside legislators and conduct many of the daily tasks full-time staff members complete during a legislative session.

Positions are available in the communications, information technology, legal, legislative, page and policy offices during the session.

Interns earn a $900 biweekly stipend and benefit from scholarship and academic credit opportunities, professional development, community involvement and networking.

Senate internships are full-time positions at the Statehouse in Indianapolis that typically start with a mandatory orientation in late December and conclude at the end of the legislative session in March 2024.

The deadline to apply for the internship program is Oct. 31.
