Sen. Tomes welcomes local student to Statehouse as Senate page

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

STATEHOUSE (March 5, 2026) – State Sen. Jim Tomes (R-Wadesville) welcomed Vincennes resident Isabella Schatz to the Statehouse to serve as a Senate page.

Schatz, who attends Princeton Community High School, spent a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and meeting Tomes.

"The Senate Page Program is a great opportunity and experience for students across Indiana," Tomes said. "When pages like Isabella get to see how the state Senate works, it can grow their interest in government and spark the importance of public service."

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session.

The 2026 Senate Page program has now ended. Parents interested in learning more about the program should visit www.IndianaSenateRepublicans.com/Page-Program. Applications for the 2027 program will be available at the end of 2026.
