Sen. Delph Congratulates Carmel High School Athletes

STATEHOUSE (April 10, 2017) – State Sen. Mike Delph (R-Carmel) today congratulated several athletic teams from Carmel High School on their recent achievements.

Senate Concurrent Resolution 47 congratulates the girls swimming and diving team on winning its 31st consecutive Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) state championship title in 2017. The team also holds the national record for most consecutive state championship titles in any sport.

Senate Concurrent Resolution 48 congratulates the girls cross country team for winning the 2016 IHSAA state championship title. This win makes seven consecutive IHSAA state championships for the cross country team, with 18 championships overall.

Senate Concurrent Resolution 49 congratulates the boys swimming and diving team on winning the 2017 IHSAA state championship title. The win marks three consecutive state championships, with 18 championships overall.

Senate Concurrent Resolution 50 congratulates the boys tennis team on defeating North Central High School by a score of 4-1 in the 2016 IHSAA state championship. The team also had an undefeated 17-0 season.

Senate Concurrent Resolution 51 congratulates the football team on defeating Center Grove High School for the 2016 Class 6A state championship title. This is the eighth IHSAA state championship for the football team.

“I couldn’t be more honored to recognize these dedicated student athletes on their hard work,” Sen. Delph said. “Their discipline and commitment are commendable. I wish them continued success in their future endeavors.”
