STATEHOUSE (Nov. 18, 2025) — State Sen. Linda Rogers (R-Granger) gathered with fellow legislators today at the Statehouse for Organization Day – the ceremonial start of the Indiana General Assembly.
Organization Day marks the annual first roll call of all state lawmakers. This day also provides members of the Senate and House of Representatives with the opportunity to meet before session officially reconvenes on Jan. 5. By state law, the 2026 session will conclude on or before March 14.
"During the summer and fall, I worked with several local groups and state agencies to research several issues that need to be addressed in the upcoming session," Rogers said. "I will be authoring several bills this session, including a bill that would remove the sunset date for the County Option Circuit Breaker Tax Credit and a bill that would provide a portal for homeowners to pay their property taxes monthly. I look forward to working with my colleagues on these and other bills that will impact Hoosiers throughout the state."
As the 2026 session gets underway, Rogers encourages residents of Senate District 11 to contact her with any questions or comments they may have. Rogers can be reached by filling out a "Contact Me" form online at www.IndianaSenateRepublicans.com/Rogers or by phone at 800-382-9467.
