LEISING JOINS CEREMONIAL SIGNING OF PRESCRIPTION CONTRACEPTIVE BILL: State Sen. Jean Leising (R-Oldenburg, in blue) joins Gov. Eric Holcomb as he ceremonially signs House Enrolled Act 1568 into law at the Statehouse Wednesday, May 24. Effective July 1, the law allows pharmacists who meet certain requirements to prescribe and dispense hormonal contraceptive patches and self-administered hormonal contraceptives to support women in raising healthy families when they are ready.

State Sen. Jean Leising (R-Oldenburg) represents Senate District 42, which includes Decatur, Fayette, Ripley and Rush counties, and portions of Franklin, Jennings and Shelby counties.
