Helping Hoosiers Fill Out the FAFSA

Wednesday, February 11, 2026

Hoosiers looking for assistance filling out the FAFSA can get free help during College Goal Sunday on Feb. 22 from 2 - 4 p.m.

College Goal Sunday is Indiana's largest FAFSA filing event. Hoosier students and families can visit one of the event's 34 locations across the state to receive free, in-person help from a financial aid expert while filling out the form.

The FAFSA is used to determine a student's eligibility for federal and state financial aid and calculate the amount the student would receive.

Over the past 37 years, College Goal Sunday has helped thousands of Indiana students file their form and access funds to help pay for college. This year, they are also offering educational prizes. Students who attend the event will be eligible to win one of five $1,000 educational prizes.

The FAFSA priority deadline in Indiana for the 2026-27 academic year is April 15, 2026.
