Goode: General Assembly kicks off 2024 session

STATEHOUSE (Nov. 21, 2023) — State Sen. Greg Goode (R-Terre Haute) gathered with fellow legislators today at the Statehouse for Organization Day – the ceremonial start of the Indiana General Assembly.

Organization Day marks the annual first roll call of all state lawmakers. This day also provides members of the Senate and House of Representatives with the opportunity to meet before session officially reconvenes in January. By state law, the 2024 session will conclude on or before March 14.

"As a new senator, I'm looking forward to serving in my first legislative session," Goode said. "When I'm not at the Statehouse meeting with fellow lawmakers, I will meet with constituents to hear about legislation we are considering and what I can do to make improvements for all Hoosiers."

As the 2024 session gets underway, Goode encourages residents of Senate District 38 to contact him with any questions or comments they may have. Goode can be reached via email at Senator.Goode@iga.in.gov or by phone at 800-382-9467.
