Glick: General Assembly kicks off 2024 session

STATEHOUSE (Nov. 21, 2023) — State Sen. Sue Glick (R-LaGrange) gathered with fellow legislators today at the Statehouse for Organization Day – the ceremonial start of the Indiana General Assembly.

Organization Day marks the annual first roll call of all state lawmakers. This day also provides members of the Senate and House of Representatives with the opportunity to meet before session officially reconvenes in January. By state law, the 2024 session will conclude on or before March 14.

"Organization Day brings members together to discuss bill filing for the next session and allows members to share thoughts and ideas concerning various matters while there is still time to draft and file legislation for the 2024 session," Glick said. "Because the 2024 legislative session will be short, legislators will be limited on bills to be introduced and heard before adjournment in mid-March."

As the 2024 session gets underway, Glick encourages residents of Senate District 13 to contact her with any questions or comments they may have by email at Senator.Glick@iga.in.gov or by phone at 800-382-9467.
