This week is National Police Week, which honors the courage and sacrifice of law enforcement officers who have dedicated their lives to protecting Hoosiers across the state. This week also honors the memory of the fallen officers who gave their lives protecting their communities and those injured in the line of duty.
Senate Republicans are grateful to the men and women who put their lives on the line to protect Hoosiers each and every day. Whether they're responding to a crime scene or a vehicle crash, police officers take time away from their families to ensure the safety of each citizen in times of need.

These new laws build on work Senate Republicans have completed in recent years to increase pay for Indiana State Police, support the mental health of first responders and recognize first responders who go above the call of duty.
Law enforcement officers work hard to ensure the safety of communities across Indiana. Senate Republicans are grateful for each officer and their sacrifice to keep Indiana safe and will continue to always Back the Blue.
