Busch: General Assembly kicks off 2024 session

STATEHOUSE (Nov. 21, 2023) — State Sen. Justin Busch (R-Fort Wayne) gathered with fellow legislators today at the Statehouse for Organization Day – the ceremonial start of the Indiana General Assembly.

Organization Day marks the annual first roll call of all state lawmakers. This day also provides members of the Senate and House of Representatives with the opportunity to meet before session officially reconvenes in January. By state law, the 2024 session will conclude on or before March 14.

"I am thankful to represent Senate District 16 for another session," Busch said. "My colleagues and I worked during the interim to review our state's public health system, with special attention geared toward mental health and awareness. I look forward to continue working on these, as our priority is to provide Hoosiers with a safe and productive place to work, live and raise a family."

As the 2024 session begins, Busch encourages residents of Senate District 16 to contact him with any questions or comments they may have by email at Senator.Busch@iga.in.gov or by phone at 800-382-9467.
