Apply for the Senate Page Program

Apply for the Senate Page Program

Thursday, December 2, 2021

Applications are now open for the 2022 Senate Page Program. This program allows students in grades six through 12 to spend the day learning what legislators do during a legislative session as well as how state laws are created.

Senate pages have the opportunity to:

• Tour Indiana’s historical Statehouse, including the House and Senate Chambers, the Supreme Court and the Governor’s Office.

• Observe the legislative session directly from the floor of the Senate and listen to debates on important policy issues.

• Meet and assist senators with age-appropriate tasks.

The Senate Page Program is a chance for young people in our state to get a closer look at how government works in real time. The program will begin in January and run through early March. Positions fill quickly, so it is important to apply early.

Serving as a page is considered an excused absence from school.

Pages are scheduled for Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. They begin their day at 8:30 a.m. and are dismissed at 3:30 p.m. Groups serve together on Wednesdays.
