STATEHOUSE (Aug. 8, 2025) — A stretch of State Road 75 between County Road 700 South and County Road 800 South in Carroll County has been renamed to honor fallen Carroll County Sheriff's Deputy Noah C. Rainey, said State Sen. Ron Alting (R-Lafayette).
Rainey was killed in the line of duty on Jan. 29, 2022.
The road renaming comes after Alting sponsored House Concurrent Resolution 5, which urged INDOT to rename the portion of highway in Rainey's honor.
"Noah gave his life to protect our community, and for that I am forever grateful," Alting said. "This recognition will ensure Noah's sacrifice will never be forgotten and remind us all to be thankful for those who work to protect others."
Alting encourages residents of Senate District 22 to contact him with any questions or comments they may have. Alting can be reached by filling out a "Contact Me" form online at www.IndianaSenateRepublicans.com/Alting or by phone at 800-382-9467.
