STATEHOUSE (Nov. 6, 2019) — State Sen. Andy Zay (R-Huntington) has been appointed by Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray (R-Martinsville) to serve on the Senate Committee on Appropriations for the 2020 Indiana General Assembly.
The appropriations committee considers bills that have a financial impact on the state, and is crucial when crafting a state budget.
“I look forward to beginning my new assignment as a member on Appropriations in the coming months,” Zay said. “This committee works hard to address financial decisions for Indiana, and as a small-business owner, I believe the knowledge I’ve gained during this time will allow me to bring my expertise to the committee and help create sound fiscal results.”
Zay will also continue to serve as ranking member of the Senate Committee on Insurance and Financial Institutions and as a member of the Senate Committee on Environmental Affairs.
