WALKER WELCOMES LAWRENCE CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM TO THE STATEHOUSE: State Sen. Kyle Walker (R-Lawrence) presents Senate Concurrent Resolution 25 Monday, March 4 to recognize the Lawrence Central High School girls basketball team for their Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) 4A state championship win. Lawrence Central High School won the 4A state title with a score of 55-28. The Bears held their competitors to the fewest points ever by a team in an IHSAA 4A state championship game.
The Lawrence Central Bears completed their 2023-2024 season with an overall record of 30-1, becoming the third team in IHSAA history to have thirty wins in a season.
"I am proud of this team's continuous hard work, and I look forward to seeing the continued success of this program in the future," Walker said. "Their dedication represents Senate District 31 well and I congratulate all their achievements."
