It’s hard to believe, but 2014 is almost here! With the new year comes the start of the Indiana General Assembly’s legislative session.
During that time, the Indiana State Senate is hard at work, creating and discussing potential new laws. Things move pretty quickly, so we’ve created a hub of information for you to stay updated on the current status of legislation.
At the top of the Indiana Senate Republicans homepage, click on the Session Info tab. This takes you directly to the resources you’ll need to stay up to date on what’s going on at the Indiana Statehouse.
Access the Senate calendar to find out bill deadlines, session schedules and committee meeting dates. You can also find the agenda for every session day, which lets you know which bills we’ll be discussing and voting on.
The Session Info section also includes a list of standing committees and what pieces of legislation committee members will be reviewing on a particular day. You can look up committee votes, minutes and other materials on there, too.
Remember! We stream the Indiana State Senate’s sessions and committee hearings live. Click on the Watch Live button and select the room you want to view to observe debate and discussion in real time.
