State Sen. Stacey A. Donato (R-Logansport) made the following statement today regarding an amendment to House Bill 1608:
STATEHOUSE (March 20, 2023) – "Parents need to know what's going on in their child's life – especially at school. We want schools to be working with parents, but not be replacements for parents. For that reason, I have worked with Chairman Raatz on an amendment to House Bill 1608 that will be clear about when and how we expect schools to communicate with parents if a child desires to change the way they identify at school."
