Statement from State Sen. Stacey A. Donato regarding the conclusion of the 2026 legislative session

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

State Sen. Stacey A. Donato (R-Logansport) made the following statement regarding the conclusion of the 2026 legislative session:

STATEHOUSE (Feb. 27, 2026) – "The 2026 legislative session has concluded, and I am happy to see efforts I authored and supported pass the process.

"Of the many bills this session, it was great to see the passage of legislation to lower Hoosiers' energy costs, increase transparency and accountability in Indiana's child welfare system, limit social media use for kids under the age of 16 and provide a jury duty exemption for breastfeeding mothers.

"I am grateful to have been a part of getting these bills passed this year, and I look forward to hearing from our community during the interim about how I can continue to make our state a great place to live."
