FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
State Sen. Scott Baldwin (R-Noblesville) made the following statement regarding the conclusion of the 2026 legislative session:
STATEHOUSE (Feb. 27, 2026) – "Today, the Indiana General Assembly officially concluded the 2026 legislative session, and I am proud of the legislation Senate Republicans championed.
"This session I carried legislation to help make alterations to Indiana's property and income taxes to help save Hoosiers money and support our community and schools. I also authored a bill to modernize the security structure for Indiana's judges and courts in light of recent violence toward judges.
"I am also proud to have authored Senate Enrolled Act 189, which aims to promote competition in Indiana's health care market by preventing health insurance companies using their power to urge health care providers toward specific health insurance carriers. Senate Enrolled Act 227 is another bill I authored to establish a framework for law enforcement to combat unmanned aircraft systems.
"During the interim, I look forward to hearing from the community and working with my fellow lawmakers to continue finding ways to make Indiana an even better place to live and work."
