Indiana State Sen. Jim Merritt (R-Indianapolis) made the following statement today regarding Indiana Family and Social Services Administration Secretary Dr. Jennifer Walthall and Indiana Executive Director for Drug Prevention, Treatment and Enforcement Jim McClelland’s announcement of the partnership between OpenBeds software and Indiana 2-1-1.
STATE HOUSE (March 15, 2018) – I commend Dr. Jennifer Walthall and Jim McClelland for their collaboration to provide this new tool for Hoosiers who are struggling with substance use disorder and are in need of immediate treatment. As a state, we need to do anything and everything we can to help those who are addicted get the help they need to recover and live a better life. Integrating Indiana’s 2-1-1 database of service providers with the OpenBeds software program is an innovative way to help these people in their moment of need. This partnership will save Hoosier lives and families.”
