State Sen. Jim Buck (R-Kokomo) made the following statement regarding the conclusion of the 2026 legislative session:
STATEHOUSE (Feb. 27, 2026) – "The 2026 legislative session has come to a close, and I am happy with how productive we have been during a short period.
"Senate Republicans accomplished our priorities, including landmark welfare reform aimed at ending waste, fraud and abuse in the system. This bill would make sure Hoosiers who truly need this help can get it.
"I am pleased to see us continue to put Indiana in position to be a top performing state in many ways, and I look forward to working during the interim to develop more ways to make life here even better."
