Statement from State Sen. Jim Buck in response to the 2026 State of the Judiciary address

State Sen. Jim Buck (R-Kokomo) made the following statement in response to the 2026 State of the Judiciary address.

STATEHOUSE (Jan. 14, 2026) – "Indiana Chief Justice Loretta Rush delivered her State of the Judiciary address today detailing the accomplishments of our state court systems.

"I was pleased to hear legislation we have passed continues to help the current attorney shortage, and it is always a joy to hear of all of the accomplishments of local courts and how they continue to develop and kickstart innovative ways to improve our state justice system.

"It is great to listen to the Chief Justice speak on how technology has made our courts and legal information more accessible for all, and how Indiana has pioneered new technology systems like INjail, the first of its kind in the nation.

"Chief Justice Rush made it clear in her address that our judicial system has grown and continues to grow. I look forward to continue working with my colleagues to provide our courts with the assistance they need."
