Statement from State Sen. Jeff Raatz on the conclusion of the 2026 legislative session

State Sen. Jeff Raatz (R-Richmond) made the following statement regarding the conclusion of the 2026 legislative session:

STATEHOUSE (Feb. 27, 2026) – "The Indiana General Assembly concluded the 2026 legislative session today. We worked hard to pass our priorities like withholding bail for dangerous suspects and cracking down on fraud in our welfare programs.

"I also championed bills to reduce cell-phone use in schools and limit social media use for kids under the age of 16. I supported bills to provide Hoosiers with more affordable utility rates and crack down on illegal immigration.

"With session concluded, I will turn my focus to preparing for next session. I will work with constituents and my fellow lawmakers during the interim and ensure our state is the best it can be."
