Statement from State Sen. Dan Dernulc
State Sen. Dan Dernulc (R-Highland) made the following statement today regarding the ceremonial signing of House Enrolled Act 1453:

STATEHOUSE (June 25, 2025) – "I was proud to see House Enrolled Act 1453 ceremonially signed into law by the governor today. This important law establishes a pediatric cancer research and treatment grant program along with grants for Indiana cancer centers to boost research and clinical trials.

"As this law went through the legislative process, the testimony along with debate brought to light many critical aspects of pediatric cancer treatment, including the lack of care available for young Hoosiers. This grant program is a stepping stone to improve cancer treatment and research overall, and I look forward to seeing how it will positively impact those in need of care."
