STATEHOUSE (April 25, 2025) – "As the 2025 legislative session comes to a close, I reflect on all the important work my colleagues and I have accomplished over the session. In addition to passing all of the Senate Republicans' top priorities and some of my own priorities, we also passed a balanced state budget, supporting Hoosiers throughout the state.
"I was happy to see six bills I authored or sponsored pass through the General Assembly. These included important issues like bringing more awareness to human trafficking, improving the sale of utility trailers, amending the requirements for PTABOA members, adding Lake County to the Indiana Crime Guns Task Force, ending vehicle emission testing and establishing cancer research and treatment grant programs.
"Now, I look forward to spending more time in our community and visiting with my family, friends and the people of northwest Indiana. Our work is never done, so I encourage constituents to reach out to me or my office to keep me informed on the issues most affecting our community. I will continue to find ways to improve Indiana this interim and see what meaningful changes I can make next session."
