Statement from State Sen. Cyndi Carrasco

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

State Sen. Cyndi Carrasco (R-Indianapolis) made the following statement regarding the conclusion of the 2026 legislative session:

STATEHOUSE (Feb. 27, 2026) – "Today, the Indiana General Assembly concluded the 2026 legislative session, and I am proud of all we have accomplished this year.

"This session, Senate Republicans championed legislation aimed at saving Hoosiers money by passing legislation that will lower Hoosiers' energy bills and eliminate state taxes on tips and overtime.

"I also authored legislation to connect Hoosiers facing unsheltered homelessness to services and a bill to empower law enforcement to make decisions directly affecting their department and staff.

"During the interim, I look forward to hearing from my community and working with my fellow lawmakers to find additional ways to make Indiana a better place for Hoosiers to work and live in."
