Senate Majority Floor Leader Chris Garten (R-Charlestown) made the following statement regarding the passing of State Sen. Jack Sandlin (R-Indianapolis):
STATEHOUSE (Sept. 20, 2023) – "The passing of my friend and colleague, Jack Sandlin, is an immense loss to his friends, family and all Hoosiers.
"Jack relentlessly fought for those who elected him and was a tireless advocate within our caucus for veterans and law enforcement officials. His dedicated service to our country and the great state of Indiana as a veteran, police officer and state senator was unwavering and will not be forgotten – those who knew him will ensure that.
"My prayers go out to his wife, Lydia, and his many loved ones who deeply feel this loss."
