State Sen. Andy Zay (R-Huntington) made the following statement today in response to Gov. Eric Holcomb’s 2021 State of the State address:
STATEHOUSE (Jan. 19, 2021) — “Gov. Holcomb's State of the State address touched on many fundamental issues impacting Hoosiers today. One of the concerns he highlighted was the need to maintain and advance our state's infrastructure, which is one of the many topics I am currently addressing in the General Assembly.
"COVID-19 brought to light the need to expand and update broadband access, especially for our rural communities. To address this, I authored Senate Bill 377, which would establish broadband programs to help distribute funds and gather data to increase internet access across our state. I look forward to championing legislation that would change this issue from being an agenda item to a tangible reality."
