Statement from Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray

State Sen. Rodric Bray (R-Martinsville) made the following statement today regarding December revenue forecast:

STATEHOUSE (Dec. 16, 2020) – “Today's revenue forecast is certainly better than we were expecting, and that is due in large part to years of conservative fiscal policy and the tough decisions made by Gov. Holcomb and his administration when he required agencies to tighten their belt at the onset of the pandemic. However, we are not out of the woods yet. We still need to proceed with caution as we head into the 2021 budget session given that there are still so many unknowns about how the COVID-19 pandemic will or will not continue to affect out state's revenue. My caucus and I are committed to responsible fiscal management, and that will be our guiding principle as we craft the budget next year."
