Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray (R-Martinsville) made the following statement today regarding the possibility of redrawing Indiana's congressional maps mid-cycle:
STATEHOUSE (Nov. 14, 2025) – "Over the last several months, Senate Republicans have given very serious and thoughtful consideration to the concept of redrawing our state's congressional maps. Today, I'm announcing there are not enough votes to move that idea forward, and the Senate will not reconvene in December."

ADDITIONAL BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The Senate's 2026 legislative calendar is expected to be made available on or around Organization Day. Following Organization Day, the Senate plans to reconvene on Jan. 5.
Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray (R-Martinsville) represents Senate District 37, which includes Morgan County and portions of Johnson, Owen and Putnam counties.
