Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray (R-Martinsville) made the following statement today in response to the 2022 fiscal year closeout:
STATEHOUSE (July 15, 2022) – "Thanks to Indiana's continued fiscal discipline, we are closing out another year with reserves that will protect our state in the event of an economic downturn and pay down our outstanding pension obligations. My caucus members and I remain open to taking action that will help Hoosiers deal with the economic pressures they are facing thanks to the liberal D.C. policies that have resulted in record-high inflation. As we look toward special session, Senate Republicans are considering a package that can provide relief to Hoosiers in multiple ways while continuing to pay down our outstanding debt."
