STATEHOUSE (Feb. 18, 2021) – “The threat of frivolous COVID-19 lawsuits has been a major concern for Hoosier businesses, organizations, individuals, schools and more throughout the course of this pandemic. The swift passage and signing of Senate Enrolled Act 1 is a huge step forward in providing the confidence our state needs to continue to reopen and help our economy continue to recover. I am proud of the partnership between the Senate, House and Gov. Holcomb to bring this bill into law, and look forward to that continued collaboration as we move through the rest of the session and consider policies to help keep our state moving in the right direction."
