Statement from State Sen. Greg Goode

State Sen. Greg Goode (R-Terre Haute) made the following statement today regarding the Vigo County Council's vote on funding options for Vigo County School Corporation:

STATEHOUSE (Oct. 15, 2025) – "Our bipartisan state legislative work to create a formal mechanism for county, city and school corporation collaboration in Vigo County was ultimately about transparency and accountability.

"My legislation was intentionally drafted to provide another option to our local elected officials.

"There is no expiration in this legislation, which is now state law, and this option will continue to be available to our current and future elected county officials.

"I trust the judgement of our county, community and school leaders, and I believe that our children deserve the very best educational experiences. I will keep working in support of children, families and educators in the Wabash Valley."
